A heartfelt initiative by Ladies in Waiting CIC, created to empower, uplift, and celebrate young girls of colour aged 9-15 as they navigate the journey of growing up.
Our Story
Girl You Can Make It was born from a simple but powerful belief: every young girl deserves to know her worth, embrace her identity, and step into her power. Created by Ladies in Waiting CIC, a community interest company dedicated to supporting women and girls, this programme exists to fill a gap we saw all too often — the lack of safe, affirming spaces specifically designed for girls of colour.
We know that growing up as a girl of colour comes with unique challenges, from navigating stereotypes to finding role models who look like you. That is why we built this space — to remind you that you are enough, exactly as you are. That your voice matters. That your dreams are valid. And that you can absolutely make it.
